I am first a devoted father and husband with an amazing wife and four smart, growing and active sons. I am also an educator and coach with over three decades of experience. The emphases for my teaching are: Embracing the Awesomeness of Throwing! Excellence in Technique and Confidence in Competing!
Two times I have been voted by my peers as the VHSCA Assistant T&F Coach of the Year in VA (2006 and 2010). Since 2004 Coach B Throws Shot Put and Discus Throwers have earned a total of 15 VHSL and VISAA State Championships. Dozens of athletes have earned VHSL All-State, Regional, Conference and District Championships and places as well. Many have gone on to successful College Throwing careers. Sameness equals soundness in technique!

The Summer is a great time to BUILD on your THROWING TECHNIQUE and COMPETE! The Manchseter Iron Throws Club practices weekly in June and July and we even throw in competition too! Middle and High School aged athletes welcomed.
